Twins' loss of Nathan casts the White Sox as the team to beat in the AL Central

Clearly it would have crossed all boundaries of sportsmanship and good taste for the White Sox, the Tigers or anyone else in the American League Central to express anything but empathy and sadness at the news of the season-ending elbow injury to Minnesota closer Joe Nathan.
