Source: Krause hired for scouting role

The Chicago White Sox have named former Chicago Bulls general manager Jerry Krause the head of international scouting, according to a Major League Baseball source. An announcement by the team probably will not come until next week.

Krause, who was hired as a consultant by the White Sox on April 5, will be in charge of revamping the scouting system in the Dominican Republic at the outset of his new job.
