Resolution honors Blackhawks

Chicago had its chance to honor the Stanley Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks earlier this month with a parade and rally.

Now a politician and fan has made it official in Washington.

Congressman Mike Quigley (D-IL) announced the House passage of H. Res. 1439, a resolution honoring the Blackhawks, who defeated the Philadelphia Flyers to win the Stanley Cup on June 9.

The resolution passed overwhelmingly, with only a few dissenting votes.
