Cubs' Soto leaves game with hurt foot

HOUSTON -- Chicago Cubs catcher Geovany Soto bruised his left foot and left the game in the middle of the sixth inning against the Houston Astros on Monday night.

Cubs manager Lou Piniella said Soto would be doubtful for Tuesday's game but they hope he can return on Wednesday.

Soto was injured after fouling a pitch off it earlier in the game. He was replaced by Koyie Hill.

He drove in a pair of runs with a double in the second inning, and the Cubs went on to win 5-2.
