Source: White Sox eye Manny Ramirez

CHICAGO -- The Chicago White Sox will put in a claim on Manny Ramirez if the Los Angeles Dodgers put him on waivers and no team claims him before the White Sox, according to a league source.

FoxSports.com first reported the story.

The source said Ramirez would become the White Sox's designated hitter against all pitching, and that going back to the American League, where he wouldn't have to play the outfield, appeals to Ramirez.
