Blackhawks sign Brandon Pirri

CHICAGO -- The Chicago Blackhawks signed 19-year-old center Brandon Pirri to a three-year contract on Tuesday.

Pirri, from Toronto, was the Blackhawks' second selection (59th overall) in the 2009 entry draft.

Pirri led all first-year players in the Eastern College Athletic Conference with 43 points (11 goals, 32 assists) in 39 games at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (Troy, N.Y.) during the 2009-10 season.
