Report: Fredi Gonzalez rebuffs Cubs

Former Florida Marlins manager Fredi Gonzalez has turned down the chance to interview for the Chicago Cubs' managerial vacancy, according to AOL FanHouse.

Major League Baseball sources have told ESPNChicago.com that Gonzalez is waiting for the Braves' season to play out and will more than likely be offered the Atlanta job. Braves hitting coach Terry Pendleton has been the only other name mentioned to replace Bobby Cox, who is retiring after 2010.
