Cubs' Geovany Soto has surgery

CHICAGO -- Chicago Cubs catcher Geovany Soto underwent right shoulder surgery on Monday morning to repair the AC joint that had bothered him for a couple of months, according to a team spokesman.

Team orthopedic surgeon Stephen Gryzlo performed the operation, which took about an hour, at Northwestern Hospital.

Soto will begin to rehab the shoulder over the next two weeks with the Cubs training staff. Complete recovery time after surgery is said to be three months. Soto should be 100 ...
