Larry Rothschild to return to Cubs

CHICAGO -- Chicago Cubs pitching coach Larry Rothschild informed the team on Monday that he is picking up his option to return for the 2011 season.

The ultimate fate of Rothschild, who has worked under five managers during his nine-year run in Chicago, may depend on who becomes the next manager and how the coaching staff is put together.

Hitting coach Rudy Jaramillo is the only other Cubs coach from last season's staff who has a contract for 2011. Jaramillo has two years remaining ...
