Roberto Garza had torn meniscus

LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- Chicago Bears guard Roberto Garza played three weeks through the pain of a torn meniscus, prior to electing to have surgery last week to repair the injury, according to offensive line coach Mike Tice.

In outlining some of the struggles the club continues to fight up front, Tice mentioned Garza's injury.

"Roberto -- which you guys didn't know because we didn't tell you -- sucked it up for three weeks with a torn meniscus, right in half, right?" Tice said. ...
