Cubs obtain P Matt Garza from Rays

The Chicago Cubs have completed a multiplayer trade with the Tampa Bay Rays to bring right-handed starter Matt Garza to the North Side.

ESPNChicago.com's Bruce Levine reported Friday that the teams had reached agreement on the deal.

The Cubs sent right-handed pitcher Chris Archer, outfielder Brandon Guyer, catcher Robinson Chirinos, shortstop Hak-Ju Lee and outfielder Sam Fuld to Tampa for Garza, minor league outfielder Fernando Perez and left-handed pitcher Zachary Rosscup.
