Blackhawks' Dave Bolland improving

DETROIT-- Chicago Blackhawks center Dave Bolland has made significant progress in his recovery from a concussion he suffered in early March, according to coach Joel Quenneville.

"Bolly is progressing at a different pace than we saw before, which is encouraging," Quenneville said after practice Friday morning.

Bolland skated on his own in Chicago on Friday. He has been out since taking an elbow to the head from Pavel Kubina of Tampa Bay on March 9. Kubina was suspended for ...
