Bulls' Ronnie Brewer sprains thumb

NEW YORK -- Chicago Bulls guard Ronnie Brewer has sprained left thumb ligaments and is questionable for Wednesday night's game against the New Jersey Nets.

Brewer sprained the thumb on Tuesday night during the second quarter of a game against the New York Knicks while diving for a loose ball. He had X-rays that came back negative. A team spokesman said Brewer will be re-evaluated Wednesday by team physician Dr. Brian Cole and the hand specialists at Midwest Orthopedics.
