Injured Cubs trio headed to Iowa

CINCINNATI -- Injured Chicago Cubs Alfonso Soriano, Reed Johnson and Jeff Baker will begin rehab assignments at Triple-A Iowa during the next few days.

Johnson (lower back spasms) and Baker (left groin strain) will begin their stints Thursday. Soriano (left quad strain) will start his rehab Sunday.

"I can't remember the last time I was excited guys going out on rehab," Cubs manager Mike Quade said. "I've got to be honest, [I am]."
