The Los Angeles Dodgers have acquired right-handed pitchers John Ely and John Link from the White Sox to complete Tuesday's deal that sent outfielder Juan Pierre to Chicago.

Ely, a Homewood native, was 14-2 at Double-A Birmingham. Link, a reliever, pitched for Triple-A Charlotte last season, going 1-2 with a 3.09 earned-run average in 56 1/3 innings.
