CHICAGO -- The Chicago White Sox and first-round draft pick Chris Sale agreed to terms with a bonus worth $1.656 million, Baseball America reported on Sunday.
Sale, the 13th overall pick in the 2010 First-Year Player Draft, is the highest-drafted player to agree to terms so far.
The 6-foot-6, 185-pound left-handed pitcher is expected to take his physical on Monday and sign the deal on Tuesday, according to the report.
Sale was 11-0 with a 2.01 ERA and 146 strikeouts in 103 innings as a junior at Florida Gulf Coast this spring.
Sale is expected to report to high Class A Winston-Salem, according to the report.
