ST. LOUIS -- Cubs manager Lou Piniella has changed his starting rotation.

Right-hander Casey Coleman will start Wednesday in place of Thomas Diamond, who has shifted into Coleman's long reliever role.

In Friday's 6-3 loss to the Cardinals, Coleman threw two shutout innings in relief of Diamond, who was making his third start. Diamond took the loss, allowing four runs in four innings of work.
