Soto, in his third season with the Cubs, will undergo arthroscopic surgery on the shoulder Monday. He should be recovered by spring training.
This isn't the Cubs' backstop's first injury issue this season. Soto spent time on the DL in August with a sprained right ankle.
Soto hit .280, with 17 homers and 53 RBIs for the Cubs this season.
