CHICAGO -- The Chicago Cubs agreed to a one-year, $800,000 deal with right-handed pitcher Todd Wellemeyer, according to a major league source.

The minor league contract includes a chance to make $400,000 in incentives.

Wellemeyer went 3-5 with a 5.68 ERA with the San Francisco Giants last season. He broke in with the Cubs in 2003.
