Bill Buckner will team with Cubs play-by-play man Len Kasper as Bob Brenly takes the day off when the teams meet at Fenway Park.
Buckner played parts of eight seasons with the Cubs, winning the 1980 batting crown, but the most famous part of his career happened while he played for the Red Sox. Buckner's error in Game 6 of the 1986 World Series opened the door for the New York Mets to come back and win the series.
Buckner, who received death threats after the game, returned to Fenway after retiring, and both sides have moved on from the incident.
The error helped enhance the Red Sox's reputation as being cursed, because it prolonged a World Series drought that began in 1918 and ended in 2004.
The Cubs' drought, however, remains intact, stretching back to 1908.
