CHICAGO -- Tyrus Thomas broke his arm, and now he's finally broken his silence.
For the first time since breaking his forearm in a weight room accident last Friday, the Bulls forward spoke to the media on Tuesday night after his team's last-second loss to the Nuggets. He still can't believe everything happened the way it did. After all, he was just trying to do a pull-up.
"It was funny," Thomas said. "Honestly it was, because I was like, "Damn, I just broke my arm. I really just broke it, but it is what it is."
At first, none of his teammates could believe what happened either. "Nobody believed me because I wasn't in pain," he said. "I was just walking around like, "I just broke my arm."
Thomas, who is expected to miss between 4-6 weeks, just hopes he can get back on the floor soon. "Of course it's always hard to miss, but you've got to take the good with the bad and just do what you can do."
