The veteran point guard is day to day and was seen leaving the United Center in a walking boot.
"It is a bad ankle sprain. He tried to come back on it but then said he could not go," Bulls coach Vinny Del Negro said. "It must be bad if he did not go out there. He has played through a lot of stuff."
Hinrich stepped on teammate Joakim Noah's foot with 3:47 left to play in the second quarter and immediately started hobbling. He was taken out of the game and went directly back to the locker room to be examined by the Bulls medical staff. He received ice treatment at halftime.
Hinrich tested the ankle during warmups for the second half and then did not return.
