CHICAGO -- James Johnson will not play Saturday night against the Charlotte Bobcats because of a partially torn fascia.

He will be replaced in the starting lineup by Luol Deng

"His foot's pretty sore," Bulls coach Vinny Del Negro said of Johnson. "We'll get him some rest tonight."

As for Deng, this will be his first start in almost a month. He returned to action on Friday night against the Washington Wizards and played 28 minutes after missing the last 11 games due to a calf strain.

"He feels good," Del Negro said. "He played well [Friday] night. There's no time to rest right now. We got to get going here. Lu was going to start, but James has been battling through some serious pain. It's just too painful tonight."
