"We're in some pretty deep conversations with a number of people," Bulls general manager Gar Forman said Friday on "The Afternoon Saloon" on ESPN 1000. "I would think in the next couple of days we'll have some offers on the table and start to piece together the two-guard spot and adding some quality depth to our roster."
The Bulls held out hope until Thursday night's announcement that they had a chance to land James, but they already had a long list of players to pursue if James chose another team. Among the players on that list are Kyle Korver, J.J. Redick, Ronnie Brewer and Michael Redd, according to a person familiar with the situation.
Boozer, speaking on "The Waddle & Silvy Show" on ESPN 1000 on Thursday morning, spoke about two of the Bulls' possibilities.
"Kyle can shoot the heck out of the ball," Boozer said of his former teammate with the Jazz. "He's 6-7, 6-8 with real size and can shoot the ball. In practice he doesn't miss many shots, and then in games when he's on, he's as good as anybody. I would definitely recommend Kyle Korver.
