Kyle Korver cleared to play

HOUSTON -- Chicago Bulls guard Kyle Korver played Tuesday night against the Houston Rockets after dealing with a sore right knee.

"[I'm feeling] quite a bit better," Korver said Tuesday morning before scoring 10 points in 26 minutes of Chicago's 95-92 win. "I had an MRI and a bone scan [Monday], and they said it was a bone bruise and the fatty pad under your kneecap got bruised."

He said he banged knees with the Washington Wizards' John Wall during Saturday's game.

"John Wall went for a layup. I went to try and contest it and landed on one leg, hyper-extended it during the second quarter," Korver said. "It hurt, but during the game you kind of have adrenaline going and I was able to finish the game. I had the doctor look at it after the game and started some anti-inflammatories."

Korver entered Tuesday averaging 8.1 points on 50 percent shooting.

The Bulls opened a seven-game road trip against the Rockets.
