LOS ANGELES -- Chicago Bulls forward Taj Gibson missed practice on Monday with a pinched nerve in his right foot and will be a game-time decision on Tuesday against the Los Angeles Lakers.

"He's been nicked up, but he said he was feeling a little bit better [Sunday]," Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau said. "He's day-to-day basically. The good thing is we have [had] a couple days without having to play, so I think the rest will help."

Gibson was scheduled to be checked out by the Bulls medical staff later on Monday.

"I'm just hoping it's nothing [more] serious than what it is," Gibson said.

After shooting a combined 1 for 16 in the first two games of the Bulls' seven-game circus trip, Gibson had 17 points and 18 rebounds in a victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Friday.

The second-year forward is averaging 12.1 points and 7.3 rebounds a game.
