Derrick Rose passes Rajon Rondo

Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose surpassed the Boston Celtics' Rajon Rondo in All-Star voting as the NBA released returns on Thursday.

Rose ranks second among Eastern Conference guards with 1,225,575 votes, while Rondo has 1,171,311. Both are behind the Miami Heat's Dwyane Wade, who has 1,499,768 votes.

Rose was an All-Star reserve last season, becoming the first Bulls player selected as an All-Star since Michael Jordan in 1998.

The Los Angeles Lakers' Kobe Bryant leads all players with 1,757,216 votes.
