DEERFIELD, Ill. -- Carlos Boozer again practiced on a limited basis for the Chicago Bulls, and was in the starting lineup for Monday's Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinals against the Atlanta Hawks.

He scored 14 points and grabbed eight rebounds in 34 minutes, but the Bulls lost 103-95.

Boozer injured his right big toe on Tuesday night when the Bulls closed out the Pacers in Game 5. After the team took two days off, Boozer missed practice on Friday and Saturday and was limited on Sunday.

"He did more [Monday]," Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau said before the game. "Feeling better. We'll see how he feels after he warms up at the arena."

Boozer did not participate in all the drills at shootaround on Monday, but he said he expected to play against the Hawks.

"I'm doing good. The toe is feeling a lot better," Boozer said. "I've gotten a lot of treatment over the last few days. As long as it feels good tonight I'll be out there."

Boozer, who was coming off a two-point, five-rebound game against the Pacers, said it would take a lot to keep him out.

"Very painful, just to step on it," Boozer said. "But we've been able to calm it down pretty good. It is very painful, but it's the playoffs. If I can be out there, I'm going to be out there."

Boozer had a new tape job on the toe and also made a shoe adjustment.
