Reports: Aaron Lynch recommits to ND

Coveted defensive end recruit Aaron Lynch is a Notre Dame man once again, according to multiple reports.

The Cape Coral, Fla., senior originally committed to Notre Dame inJuly, but shifted his allegiance to Florida State in November. Now, after an official visit to South Bend this weekend, he's back in the Irish fold as the program's 22nd recruit in the 2011 class.

Lynch's addition comes just days after fellow DE Ishaq Williams (Brooklyn, N.Y.) committed to Notre Dame. Lynch is expected to enroll this semester so that he can take part in spring practices. Classes begin Tuesday.

The 6-foot-4, 270 pound Lynch, who was rated No. 52 overall by ESPN recruiting and No. 7 at defensive end, was one of the nation's top pass-rushers this past fall for Island Coast High School. Williams, No. 30 on the ESPNU 150 list, will likely move to outside linebacker.

Lynch was widely regarded as the best player on the field for the East team at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl on Jan. 8, registering 2.5 sacks in a win over the West.
