Dye, Rivera share honors
White Sox right-fielder Jermaine Dye was named American League Co-Player of the Week with the New York Yankees' Mariano Rivera.
Dye went 12-for-24, including four doubles and three home runs, and he also drove in six runs. Dye had a 1.042 slugging percentage and .520 on-base percentage
Dye hit his 155th home run as a White Sox player on Sunday against the Chicago Cubs, moving past Bill Melton into sole possession of seventh place on the Sox's all-time list.
Rivera picked up his 500th save, become the first American League pitcher to reach that plateau and the second in the majors, behind Trevor Hoffman.
