Error costs Bandits

Akron's Jenny Topping broke a scoreless tie with a two-run homer in the top of the ninth one batter after Chicago's Nicole Trimboli dropped a fly ball that would have ended the inning, and the Racers went on to beat the Bandits 3-0 on Saturday night.

The Bandits couldn't score with a bases-loaded opportunity in the first and Jamie Schloredt was doubled off of first in the second as Akron's Brittany Weil cruised.

Eileen Canney gave up only four hits for the Bandits, but two were home runs in the ninth, one by Topping and the other a solo shot by Jamee Juarez one batter after Topping.
