Jake Peavy hit a speed bump Tuesday night on his road to joining the Chicago White Sox.

Despite striking out five in four innings in his second rehab start for the Triple-A Charlotte Knights, Peavy had trouble with the Durham Bulls. He gave up four runs -- three earned -- on five hits, hit a batter and gave up a home run.

Though he struggled, Peavy lasted one more inning than he did Thursday in his first start as a member of the White Sox organization. However, he only allowed two baserunners in that start and didn't give up a run.

The White Sox's plan right now is that Peavy will make at least one more rehab start, on Aug. 23. After that, the team, along with Peavy, will decide if he needs one more minor league outing before joining the big-league club.
