Dvoracek to get knee scoped

Chicago Bears defensive lineman Dusty Dvoracek will undergo arthroscopic surgery on Friday to determine the extent of the injury to his right knee.

The Bears would only confirm that Dvoracek sprained his MCL during the Bears' victory over the New York Giants on Saturday, but multiple media outlets quoted sources saying Dvoracek tore the ACL and would miss the season.

Dvoracek has played in 13 games in three seasons, each one ending with him on injured reserve. His contract expires following this season, and the final roster cutdown to 53 players is Sept. 5.
