WINNIPEG, Manitoba -- Wolves center Johnny Pohl scored the lone goal Friday for Chicago as the Wolves fell 4-1 to the Manitoba Moose at the MTS Centre.

Pohl's goal tied the score at 1 in the second period. Defenseman Jamie Hunt carried the puck into the Moose zone and slid a pass to Pohl, who slipped it past Moose goaltender Cory Schneider at the 10:25 mark.

The Moose answered Pohl's goal less than two minutes later when defenseman Michael Funk picked up the puck after it caromed off the boards. He then ripped a shot through traffic that found its way underneath Wolves goaltender Drew MacIntyre and into the back of the net.

Manitoba increased its lead at the 16:54 mark when two Wolves got tangled up and turned the puck over in their zone. Right wing Sergei Sirokov moved to the top of the slot and fired a shot straight by MacIntyre.

Manitoba (2-1-0) scored its final goal with five minutes remaining in the third period when left winger Michael Grabner cranked a shot past MacIntyre from the left corner of the crease. Grabner also opened the scoring in the first period when he threaded his way past two Wolves defensemen and pulling MacIntyre out of position and putting the puck in the back of the net.

The Wolves (0-2-0) and Moose will have a rematch Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the MTS Centre.
