TUCSON, Ariz. -- Chicago Cubs outfielder Xavier Nady had X-rays on his right hand on Wednesday after being hit by a pitch in a minor-league game. The results were negative.

Nady was replaced by a pinch-runner, and reported a full range of motion after the incident. The Cubs took the X-rays as a precautionary measure.

Nady is scheduled to make four more appearances; one in a minor-league camp; two in Cactus League games and one in a game against the Arizona Diamondbacks next weekend.

Nady will play first and the outfield.
