Former Minnesota Vikings coach Mike Tice will interview for a position with the Chicago Bears, the team's Web site confirmed.

The story was first reported by the Chicago Tribune.

Tice is the Jacksonville Jaguars assistant head coach in charge of tight ends. Tice coached both tight ends and offensive linemen for the Vikings before becoming Minnesota's head coach at the end of 2001. Tice held that position until being fired by Minnesota after the 2005 season, and immediately joined Jack Del Rio's staff in Jacksonville.

The Bears are trying to fill several positions on their offensive staff, including tight ends, offensive line and offensive coordinator.

The Bears have interviewed Cincinnati Bengals quarterbacks coach Ken Zampese for the offensive coordinator position.
