Bears expected to attend Adams funeral

CHICAGO -- The Chicago Bears will charter a flight down to South Carolina for Friday's funeral service for former defensive end Gaines Adams.

Several players, front office employees as well as head coach Lovie Smith and general manager Jerry Angelo are expected to attend the service, scheduled for 1 p.m. ET at Rock Springs Baptist Church in Easley, S.C.

Donations in lieu of flowers can be sent to Specialized Foster Homes Services at 1201 E. Cambridge Avenue, Greenwood, S.C. 29646.

Adams, 26, died early Sunday morning of cardiac arrest brought on by an enlarged heart.
