Bears interview Martz for OC position

CHICAGO -- The Chicago Bears have confirmed Mike Martz arrived at Halas Hall on Friday to interview for the vacant offensive coordinator position.

The story was first reported by the Chicago Sun-Times.

Martz is the former offensive coordinator for the St. Louis Rams, Detroit Lions and San Francisco 49ers, and he served as the Rams' head coach for 5 1/2 seasons.

Bears head coach Lovie Smith was a member of Martz's staff in St. Louis from 2001-03.
