QB LeFevour signs with Bears
A sixth-round selection (181st overall) by the Bears in the 2010 NFL draft, LeFevour was a four-year starter at Central Michigan and is the only player in NCAA history with 12,000 career passing yards (12,905) and 2,500 career rushing yards (2,948).
The rookie quarterback sits third on the Bears' depth chart, behind incumbent starter Jay Cutler and backup Caleb Hanie. The Bears released veteran quarterback Brett Basanez on Wednesday and may still choose to add another experienced signal caller.
LeFevour is the fourth of five Bears' draft picks to sign, joining offensive tackle J'Marcus Webb (seventh round, 218th overall), who inked a deal on Sunday, cornerback Joshua Moore (fifth round, 141st overall), who signed Tuesday and defensive end Corey Wootton (fourth round, 109th overall), who penned a deal on Wednesday.
Third-round selection Major Wright remains the only unsigned 2010 draft choice.
