BOURBONNAIS, Ill. -- The Bears announced the signing of former Northwestern receiver Zeke Markshausen on Sunday, in addition to the release of quarterback Mike Teel.
Markhausen worked out for the Bears during minicamp after a standout senior season at Northwestern in which the receiver (5-11, 185 pounds) caught 91 passes for 858 yards and three touchdowns.
Teel, meanwhile, was never able to take advantage of his opportunity with the Bears due to a pulled hamstring that kept the quarterback out of action for most of camp.
