CHICAGO -- Bears weak-side linebacker Lance Briggs has been officially ruled out of Sunday's matchup against Seattle due to a left ankle injury.

Briggs failed to practice all week and will be replaced in the starting lineup by Brian Iwuh.

The Bears listed Briggs as questionable heading into the game.

Meanwhile, veteran Desmond Clark is active for the first time since the Bears hosted Green Bay on Sept. 27. Clark is expected to be used on a few phases of special teams.

Caleb Hanie is now the Bears' No. 2 quarterback, with Todd Collins serving as the No. 3 -- a move first reported by ESPNChicago.com on Tuesday.

Other Bears inactives include: Joshua Moore, Kahlil Bell, Marcus Harrison, Major Wright, Roberto Garza and Charles Grant.

Jeff Dickerson covers the Bears for ESPNChicago.com and ESPN 1000.
