Desmond Clark tweets he'll play Sunday

LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- Bears tight end Desmond Clark eliminated some of the ambiguity associated with trying to determine the team's inactive list Friday when he tweeted that he'll be on the field Sunday against the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship Game.

"Will be on the field Sunday," Clark tweeted. "Here we go 88 fandom!!! Let's get it on."

Inactive for 11 games during the regular season, Clark appears set to be among the Bears actives for the second time over the club's last three outings. Clark was active for the team's regular-season-ending loss to the Packers at Lambeau Field.

By making Clark active for the NFC title game, the Bears would have to sit another player. Based on recent production and the fact he's not a mainstay on special teams, receiver Devin Aromashodu appears to be the most likely candidate.

Aromashodu has been active in each of the team's past 13 games, contributing just two catches since Oct. 24, after making a team-high five grabs in the season opener against Detroit. On special teams, Aromashodu has made only one tackle.

Clark, meanwhile, hauled in only one pass for 12 yards in five games during the regular season. A 12-year veteran, Clark has logged 323 receptions, including 11 grabs in five postseason contests for 117 yards and a touchdown.
