Hawks recall Bickell from Rockford

The Chicago Blackhawks recalled left wing Bryan Bickell from the American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs and, according to the team Web site, will play Friday against Boston in place of Tomas Kopecky.

Bickell, 23, has one goal and a +3 plus/minus rating in six games with the Blackhawks this season, which includes netting the game-winning score in Vancouver on Nov. 22 during his last action with the club.

Bickell has six goals, 10 points and 39 penalty minutes in 16 AHL games with Rockford this season.

Kopecky did not play Wednesday night in the Hawks' 3-0 win over St. Louis. He was on the ice for morning practice on Friday. Bickell was recalled after practice and did not skate with the team.
