Chicago Blackhawks senior advisor of hockey operations Scotty Bowman said Wednesday there is no chance Florida Panthers goaltender Tomas Vokoun will end up in Chicago before Wednesday's 3 p.m. ET trade deadline.

"[The Hawks' front office] is laughing about it," Bowman said on Toronto's 590-AM. "They've got their goalies in place right now.

"You look at what their record is. They're not out to make a ... somebody's trying to push Vokoun into Chicago. That's impossible to happen. There's no chance that would happen."

Bowman's son Stan is Chicago's general manager, and Stan has said he consults his father on a regular basis.

Both Blackhawks goaltenders played Tuesday night in New York as Antti Niemi started and was pulled after yielding three goals. Cristobal Huet came in and also struggled in a 5-3 loss to the New York Islanders.

Vokoun has a no-trade clause, and according to ESPNChicago.com's Jesse Rogers he had not been asked to waive that clause as of Wednesday morning.
