Seabrook to return vs. Coyotes

CHICAGO -- Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Brent Seabrook skated with his regular partner, Duncan Keith, during Tuesday morning drills, and coach Joel Quenneville declared him ready for Tuesday night's game against the Phoenix Coyotes.

Seabrook missed the past two games after taking a vicious hit to the head last Wednesday against the Anaheim Ducks.

Defenseman James Wisniewski was suspended eight games for delivering the blow, which doctors believe knocked Seabrook unconscious momentarily.

"He's in," Quenneville said of Seabrook. "Nice to have him back. He skated a couple, three times since he's been out.

"Looking forward to him getting back in there."

Quenneville said he plans on playing Seabrook for his regular shift, but he "will monitor" how Seabrook is doing.

Seabrook said he had headaches in the first days after sustaining the hit, but as he worked out during the weekend, he started to feel better. He's been practicing since Friday.

The Coyotes have won nine consecutive games.
