CHICAGO -- Andrew Ladd sat out his third straight practice because of an upper body injury, and the status of the Chicago Blackhawks' forward remains day-to-day before Saturday's Game 1 of the Stanley Cup finals against the Philadelphia Flyers.
Ladd was involved in a collision with a member of the San Jose Sharks during the first minutes of Game 4 of the Western Conference finals on Sunday, and he didn't return.
Ladd said Thursday he hopes to play in Game 1 against the Flyers.
It's believed Ladd injured his left arm and shoulder area.
"It's more of a pain threshold thing," Ladd said. "I guess it's getting better every day. We'll see how it progresses."
