Forward Andrew Ladd, listed as day to day with an upper-body injury, missed Game 1 of the Stanley Cup finals between the Chicago Blackhawks and Philadelphia Flyers.

"That's the case tonight," coach Joel Quenneville said before Blackhawks 6-5 win. "Laddy is not playing. We do expect him to play [in the series]. He's progressing well but Kopy [Tomas Kopecky] is in tonight."

Kopecky started alongside Dave Bolland and Kris Versteeg on the Blackhawks' checking line.

Ladd left Game 4 of the Western Conference finals against the San Jose Sharks last week after getting in a collision. The injury is believed to be in his left shoulder and arm. He has missed practice all week.
