CHICAGO -- Though the Chicago Blackhawks have yet to make anything official, they are moving closer to re-signing some of their young restricted free agents.
Winger and former first-round pick Jack Skille has agreed to a deal, according to his agent Pat Brisson.
Negotiations with forward Bryan Bickell and defenseman Jordan Hendry are "moving in the right direction" according to sources familiar with their talks. Expect one or both of them to re-sign with the Hawks in the next week.
Antti Niemi remains the one major name the Stanley Cup champs have not re-signed. He has an arbitration hearing scheduled for July 29 if the two sides can't agree to a deal.
