CHICAGO -- The Chicago Blackhawks signed right wing Fernando Pisani to a one-year contract for $500,000 on Tuesday.
Pisani, 33, has spent his entire seven-year NHL career with the Edmonton Oilers. He had four goals, four assists and 10 penalty minutes in 40 games last season.
Pisani is considered a top penalty killer and will most likely see time in that role helping to replace the losses of John Madden, Kris Versteeg, and Andrew Ladd.
Pisani has registered 153 points in 402 career games.
