Blackhawks recall Ryan Potulny

DENVER -- The Chicago Blackhawks have recalled forward Ryan Potulny from Rockford of the AHL.

This will be Potulny's second stint with the Hawks since signing as a free agent in the offseason. Potulny is second on the IceHogs with 18 points in 25 games.

With Marian Hossa, Patrick Kane and Fernando Pisani ailing, the Hawks skated with two natural defensemen at forward in a 2-1 overtime loss to San Jose on Saturday night.

The Hawks take on the Colorado Avalanche on Monday night.
